LaserPecker LP5 Safeguard Version
LaserPecker LP5 Safeguard for Enclosed Laser Engraving
Create personalised gifts, metal tags and custom products with the LaserPecker LP5 Safeguard Version. This package combines the LP5 laser unit with its full Safety Enclosure. In addition, it includes a built-in camera and a motorised work platform. As a result, you can position designs and prepare repeat jobs within an enclosed workspace.
Dual-Laser Engraver for Metal, Wood and Leather
Choose the right laser for your material without changing the laser head. The fibre source engraves metals such as stainless steel, aluminium and silver. Meanwhile, the blue diode source suits wood, laser-safe leather, slate and dark acrylic. Therefore, this LP5 dual-laser engraver gives you scope to create a varied product range.
Go beyond surface marking with deep engraving and 3D relief effects. For example, add depth to a metal keepsake or create textured wooden artwork. The LP5 also cuts suitable thin metal sheets, wood and black acrylic, subject to the material and settings.
LP5 Safeguard Camera for Positioning and Batch Engraving
Spend less time placing artwork by eye. First, arrange your blanks on the platform. Next, take a camera snapshot in LaserPecker Design Space and position your design.
For repeat jobs, Smart Fill applies one design across multiple suitable blanks. Furthermore, outline extraction lets you trace shapes from camera images. Keep your blanks evenly spaced and facing the same direction for more consistent recognition.
Motorised Focusing with the LaserPecker Safety Enclosure
Set the working height without moving the laser head by hand. Enter your material thickness in LaserPecker Design Space, then let the motorised baseplate adjust the focus.
Alternatively, use the enclosure’s up and down buttons. Adjust the platform until the two red focusing dots meet. This gives you both software-assisted and manual focusing options.
Class 1 Laser Engraving with Built-In Protection
LaserPecker rates the correctly assembled and locked enclosure setup as Class 1. The enclosed configuration provides protection around the working area, while door sensors pause engraving when a door opens. Additionally, an emergency stop button and removable security key help you control machine operation.
The enclosure also includes dual exhaust fans. These move smoke and fumes away from the engraving area. However, you must still arrange suitable extraction or filtration for your workspace and chosen materials.

LP5 Safeguard Software and Optional Accessories
Use LaserPecker Design Space for the enclosure’s camera tools. Alternatively, choose LightBurn for supported engraving tasks. However, LightBurn does not support every LP5 function. Use LaserPecker’s own software for 3D grayscale relief and optional Rotary Extension operation.
For curved projects, add a compatible Rotary Extension or Versatile Electric Roller. Always check that your blank and accessory fit within the enclosure.
The Slide Extension does not support fully enclosed Class 1 operation. LaserPecker documents its use with open enclosure doors, which requires different laser safety controls.
Preparing Your Enclosed Laser Engraving Workspace
Read the setup and safety instructions before your first project. Keep the enclosure correctly assembled, maintain suitable ventilation and use materials appropriate for laser processing. Additionally, never leave the machine running unattended. The enclosure does not remove the need to manage fire and fume risks.
